Sometimes we can live our lives with long extended periods of sadness and depression, that seems like theyll never end. But once in a while, during these bouts of depression, we might get brief moments of Unexpected Happiness. I confess to this.

My favorite kinds of music is the kind that surprises you. While I enjoy conventional type songs (verse, chorus, verse chorus, bridge, chorus), I prefer songs that take you on an adventure. This includes jam songs (Grateful Dead), and songs with many detours and lots of dynamics (Rickie Lee Jones, Dave Matthews). Although most of my songs tend to fall into some kind of normal verse/chorus formula, I do tend to try and mix things up a bit. Which is why most of my songs last longer than 4 or 5 minutes.

Story behind the song
This musical project contains an odd mixture of music, humor, and production trickery, with a faux aborted studio recording session followed by a virtual live concert performance. Nothing is as it seems, only the emotions are real. It was a difficult yet gratifying project, and I present it to you, dear listener, with only the hope that you might follow the entire experience all the way through to the end. (Total running time: a mere 5 minutes and 42 seconds). Thank you!
