Story behind the song
This song is sort of an allegory of my life as a avid traveler and road musician. It also alludes to a (fictional) roaming spiritual leader, who helps spread enlightenment across the world. Very nice wishful thinking, of course, especially coming from the deeply indoctrinated young man who penned the lyrics in 1976 shortly after escaping from the clutches of a religious cult.
