The music of Lee Shapiro, which consists of a variety of styles and genres. I would appreciate if you "liked" or commented on any of the songs you enjoy.
My favorite kinds of music is the kind that surprises you. While I enjoy conventional type songs (verse, chorus, verse chorus, bridge, chorus), I prefer songs that take you on an adventure. This includes jam songs (Grateful Dead), and songs with many detours and lots of dynamics (Rickie Lee Jones, Dave Matthews). Although most of my songs tend to fall into some kind of normal verse/chorus formula, I do tend to try and mix things up a bit. Which is why most of my songs last longer than 4 or 5 minutes.

Story behind the song
It started as a simple experiment to try out two new audio plugins I got for my DAW. One was VocalSynth2, which among other things, can create some funky harmonies. The other was a virtual Rickenbacker Bass Guitar from Orange Tree Samples. I laid down a drum beat and just started singing whatever was on my mind. I usually ask myself a few questions before posting a new song. In this case they were: Is this song good enough to post publicly? (probably not) Is it too personal? (Yes) And will embarrass me? (most definitely) The topic is constipation. And I was curious to see if anyone else was ever brave or stupid enough to write a song about this topic. To my surprise I found a few....including "Constipation Blues" (1969) by Screamin' Jay Hawkins (complete with sound effects). Okay, well if it's good enough for him, then...what the hell.
