Artist picture
Norm Stinson has been playing guitar and singing since he was a kid. His family and friends have been the only ones who knew. Only about a year ago did he begin to come out of his shell and play in front of “strangers” at open mics and coffee shops. Norm has been well received by his peers. Norm enjoys playing music, but never sacrifices life’s other rewards, such as family and friends. He has a unique balance in his life and it shows in his music. Norm’s musical style is quite diverse. His original songs vary from roots rock to roots country/blues. He really enjoys covering songs from a wide variety of artist. From the Allman Brothers to The Cure. From Hank Williams to Elvis Costello. Throw in some Neil Young, Chris Issak, Rod Stewart, and The Dixie Chicks, and soon you’ll be tapping your toes and singin’ along.

Lyrics
Fences By Norm Stinson I Woke up one morning and looked around for you. The note on your pillow said that we were through. Said that life is too short and you had to move on The grass might be greener in someone else’s lawn. I went outside to catch you as I yelled out your name Started to feel bad, I felt I might have been to blame I started feelin’ sorry so I began to pray That the fence you put between us might some day blow away. There’s fences I’ve climbed over, some I’ve just climbed through. There’s fences I’ve knocked down and some I’ve cut in two. There are fences made of wire and there’s some made of wood But the fence you put between us I never understood Time has slipped away and now that I have moved on The memory of you is finally gone I’m doing fine now I got a new girl to love She’s getting all the love that you let go of. Cyclone, picket, ranch and wire You built one with hell’s eternal fire. You thought that you were hurting me well maybe you did I know it hurts you to but you keep it hid There’s fences I’ve climbed over, some I’ve just climbed through. There’s fences I’ve knocked down and some I’ve cut in two. There are fences made of wire and there’s some made of wood But the fence you put between us I never understood Copyright © by Norm Stinson, All rights reserved.
