Story behind the song
I was involved in an automobile accident and I had no insurance. I needed surgery (my hand was going numb) so I sued the other drive (It was his fault) to pay for the operation. The Lawyers and doctors were a pack of vultures so I wrote this song about them. I introduced this song to "Wyscan" / "Third Wish," and it was the last rehearsal we had before we broke up. I didn't like the way we were taking the song musically, so I changed direction for my solo album.
Lyrics
Wishbone c 1998 Dean Madonia I can see hem circling behind the doe of their eyes You'd think they had fasted not feasted How much of me is enough for their size? The were just trying to "help" me, pretending that they were my friends Then they put me back in the water and turned on the burner again Wishbone Drying in the kitchen Waiting to be broken, by greasy, greedy hands Wishbone, I am just a token, of someone's superstition Their wish is my demand I can feel them pulling Clutching and grabbing their prize And I feel that I'm already broken Trying to sort out the truth from their lies Somewhere on paper I know I've approved this charade Sooner or later We sleep in the beds that we've made Wishbone Drying in the kitchen Waiting to be broken, by greasy, greedy hands Wishbone, I am just a token, of someone's superstition Their wish is my demand
