I am a musical journeyman, and have been recording (on and off) in a home studio, since about 1988. I experiment with different forms, methods, and styles,
I began to recording on a cassette 4-track (Tascam Porta-One) in 1988, and enjoying the whole process of recording sounds, I then purchased an Atari ST, running Cubase Vs1. I moved on to a digital 8-track in about 1998 (Roland VS-880) and then to a more modern mac setup, which I'm using now. I am a visual artist, as well as a musical experimenter, an dI believe this does inform the way I work.

Story behind the song
I had originally done this with a simple natural sounding vocal, but it didn't sound all that great, so I used some processing to get this vocal sound, and it worked really well for me!
Lyrics
Soft Like Water I drink a glass of water, there's a slight metallic taste, random thoughts impinge on me, as I cut my birthday cake, The cake has crumbled on my plate, I've got time left, it's not too late, soft like water, time is flowing, The wise owl, stares from the tree, great is his knowing, and from the mountain to the sea, the river is flowing, Take a ride and see (Repeated) I'm doing what I want to do, I'm drawing spirals in the sand, what is hard and what is soft? and thoughts are stored up in the loft, in dusty boxes of my soul, whatever happened to the goal, (as I'm) lost in the great halo's, of the mighty, and the good, And we forget the softness of this world, as water flows, and ferns unfurl, (Repeat From Top)
