Story behind the song
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring "Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life" Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1716. this piece is the 10th and last movement of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147 It is often performed slowly and reverently at wedding ceremonies, as well as during Christian festive seasons like Christmas and Easter. This piece is also the inspiration for many of my Classical and World compositions, I guess it just 'creeps-in' there ;) All parts played on the AKAI MPK61 using the following VSTI's Magix DN-e1 Synths and VITA Orchestral Drums SampleTank 3, Violin, Viola, Cello and Contrabass SampleTank 2 Vocal Collection/Female Soloist Miroslav Philharmonik Orchestral Choir

The Maestro delivers a very cool track! I wonder what Johann would think about how we can create music today and what he would do with our technology. Nicely done Michael!

My respect to you capitan! Your approach to one of the most significatives melody Bach composed is simply accurate and impressing! Loved the choice of the instrumentation, also the "touch" you gave to this part, is a particular one. The "modern" sound here let the listener be aware that Bach´s music is not glued in the past but lives with us, only great musicians can reach such level. J.S. Bach was one of them: you my friend, surely too! :D

I think Johann Sebastian Bach's melodies are some of the best ever written. You did an exceptional job capturing this piece!

I always associate this song with joyous occasions because it has been played at every wedding ceremony I've ever attended. Excellent version, you have captured this piece beautifully.

I remember playing a lot of these on the piano - and today we do many of Bachs work adapted to lyrical hymns in church. Nice rendition Michael - got that classical, yet contemporary, and a modern touch - bravo!!

As I listen to this with my morning coffee, it gives me a good feeling...and a want to score a triple play :) but these sounds are surreal and it puts me in another nice place. Wonderful!

Very enjoyable, Mike! Got great pleasure while listening to your interpretation of pure classical piece of music! You made it very good - just in delicate and fine manner. Very impressive vocal line and common sound ambience - all means are in their harmony. ))
Wow beautiful cuz !
