Lyrics
'City No More' Look around you now Look around and tell me what you wanna see A planet broken down Is this the change that you wanted to be? Walls are being built Keeping people out and keeping them in Power has no guilt! War is a game that nobody wins And it's the season of goodwill but where is the love? Another year older and I don't feel wiser... My eyes are closed, I'm running, wake me up! Someone's keeping count It don't mean a thing behind fences and guns This was once a town Now there's only dust where someone belonged The TV news is raw All talk and pain and the battles rage on Who knows the score? Another headline tells of a city no more And it's the season of goodwill but where is the love? Another year older and I don't feel wiser... My eyes are closed, I'm running, wake me up! Look around you now Look around and tell me what you wanna see A planet broken down Is this the change that you wanted to be? Walls are being built Keeping people out and keeping them in Power has no guilt! War is a game that nobody wins And it's the season of goodwill but where is the love? Another year older and I don't feel wiser... My eyes are closed, I'm running, wake me up! © Maria Daines/Paul Killington Oct 2016

WooHoo!...another good ol' kick ass rocker from the M&P team! Man this takes me back to the Wisdom's Tooth days. Loved the guitar tone and cool chordal progression. Maria's vocals are still top shelf ...and her lyrical abilities are always thought provoking and full of social commentary. The guitar parts on the verses have a bit of a cool punky feel and the lead takes no prisoners. Great dynamics and as usual, incredible drum programming. Perfect mix. You guys may be gettin' older but you ain't lost a thing!!
