I sat in my studio in New York, one cold and snowy Christmas Eve, with nothing but a cheap bottle of pinot nior and a few "Jazz" cigarettes to keep me sane. My mind was drunk with ideas and my emotions where overflowing with emptiness. I had just returned to New York just recently to continue my work as a musician, leaving behind a beautiful wife and promising construction business in Texas. This piece represents the the struggle to find peace and balance between my love of wife and stability, and my passion for music and art.
