Story behind the song
*WARNING*
If you would rather enjoy this piece of art and have it come to mean something truly unique to you, do not read the backstory. Just as the band “Aerosmith” once criticized the music video industry of robbing fans from having their own visions of imagery associated to a song and supplanting it with some “official” footage, so too can knowing a songs backstory potentially come to rob it of having some special place and meaning for you.

The Official Backstory
There are problems in your life if you are an artist hung up on someone who is no longer in your life, while trying to move on with your life. With me, that meant nearly every love song I had ever written was really written for this fire still burning in your soul, while dating someone else.
What do you do?
Keep writing and developing your art with the knowledge that those that are in your life now very well feel or sense that this music you are making is not about, for, or inspired by them?
Keep writing and lie about it not being about them?
Stop writing altogether because who you are with truly doesn't inspire music from you, and you don't want to hurt their feelings writing music that wasn't about them?
There is no correct answer to this dilemma. I've tried all three. With the exception of one or two songs in my entire repetiore, every song was written about Jade. All the good ones. I mean, Beloved Whore was about rape, and definitely not a song about Jade. So ya, some were written about other people.
But if there is a love song, there is a 99% chance it was written about Jade.
What can I do about it?
It is what it is. For the name mentioned in the title of this track, only half the letters were correct. The worst part is that Jade has heard this song and thinks it isn't about them. I can't even correct them without looking like a liar.
I know what it is, was, and always will be. I've stopped writing for a long time trying to put other people's feelings first and not had any reward in life for having done so. Time for the truth on this one. I've hid this for a long time.
