Story behind the song
Written for an as-yet unreleased game mod that's gonna use lyrical songs... a very interesting challenge to work on, and very fun.
I try to write lyrics that stand well on their own, so that the songs feel more like tracks that are licensed to the game than music that was clearly written for it.

That bellish, gongish sound you hear is me banging on a water glass with a spoon -- I layered the sound of several water glasses together to make the timbre more complex. All of them were independently tuned to middle C after the fact with a sine wave underneath for a little bit of sustain.
