An unapologetic grunge rocker that I originally wrote back in the day. Recorded on an iPhone using a Casio keyboard for the drums and a Jackson Dinky through a Vox Valvetronix amp.

Modern pop-rock with a slight hint of Eighties and Nineties alternative.
Oldmangrady is a constantly evolving musical project that I torture myself with. There have been several line-up and style changes over the years. For the time being, Oldmangrady is Lee Modlin.

Story behind the song
I wrote the original version of this song on a bass guitar. I had about half a verse and the part where I scream "We're clay." I did a demo version of it with Britt Edwards that was all loops and samples. I tried to re-write it when I was playing with Ekklesia. I dusted it off again earlier this year and made it a piano song. I finally wrote some lyrics that I like (based on 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 and Isaiah 64:8). This is still kind of rough but this is more like what I originally imagined sitting in Britt's house back on West Mount Drive.
Lyrics
The I Am inside us all is dwelling Our fragile shells are broken, not forsaken Don't lose heart though we waste away The time will come when we'll see His face We're clay We're clay Now we come to You, Holy Father Mold our hearts Lord, You are the potter Hear our prayer for we are Your people Make us new help us turn from evil We're clay We're clay
