It is a little slow - anyway here is a finished vocal and this combines Take 3 with take 2. Music by Robert Jones & the words are likely by William Shakespeare.

Elisha Zaporelostzi's first performances were the Open Stages put on by the Bytown Live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. It is how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell started. Phreap magazine is a one page thing that went around Ottawa in the 1980s. Now it is a web site; http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/patchan With the help of Joe-Charly Smith, Molly Ding, Calhoon-Fred Febealie, and Butter Jones I was able to put out Phreap magazine.

Story behind the song
The music, by Robert Jones, comes from his 4th Booke of Ayres 1609. The words could be by William Shakespeare because there is a place for a Robin Hood song in a play of his that was produced at about the same time. My unfinished Take 3 was posted at the end of 2009 and it breaks up into a terrible mess at the 2nd stanza. Here you get the 1st stanza (now with a main vocal) of that take 3 and the 2nd stanza with take 2. I started to record 4 songs, in 2009, to celebrat the 400 year anniversary of the publication of the 4th booke of Robert Jones (who I try to specialize in). I worked on 4 of the songs from this 1609 booke "A Musical Dreame or the Fourth Booke of Ayres 1609"; III. Once Did I Serve a Cruel Heart, XI. And Is It Night? XII. She Hath an Eye, XIX. In Sherwood Lived Stout Robin Hood. I really did missed doing a recording of any of his music for the 400 year anniversary of the publication of his 1st 2nd & 3rd Bookes (1600, 1601 & 1605).
Lyrics
In Sherwood lived stout Robin Hood Music by Robert Jones - Words likely by William Shakespeare In Sherwood lived stout Robin Hood An Archer great none greater. His bow & shafts were sure & good, Yet Cupid's were much better Robin could shoot at many a Heart and miss, Cupid at first could hit a heart of his, Hey jolly Robin. Hoe jolly Robin Hey jolly Robin Hood. Love finds out me As well as thee To follow me To the green wood. A noble thief was Robin Hood, Wise was he could deceive him, Yet Marrian in his bravest mood, Could of his heart bereave him, No greater thief lies hidden under skies. Then beauty closely lodged in women's eyes. Hey jolly Robin. An Out-law was this Robin Hood, His life free and unruly, Yet to fair Marrian bound he stood And loves debt paid her duely. Whom curb of stricktest law could not hold in, Love with obedience and a wink could win. Hey jolly Robin.
