Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. This is our Decaying Orbit & we do hope that you will N'Joy tha' show!!!!

Story behind the song
Originally recorded in 2012 during the sessions for the Decaying Orbit album, "Chaos Theory". I wrote this song to honor the memory of my kitty-baby, Friday & also as a tribute to ALL of the wonderful people & animals we have lost along the way. the jam was revisited in 2014 by Alpha One Omega when he did a remix of the track, adding an ambient backing & some beautifully ambient guitars. Then, in 2015, DrumnJon called me all excited & told me he had added his drums/percussion to the track on top of Alpha One Omega's back-drop of ambiance. Jon's drums made the song much more stable overall, as well as adding even more of an emotional edge to the track. This song, as with most of the songs on this album is intensely passionate, it is pure emotion, much like a nervous break-down caught on tape & displayed for the world to see. Anyhoo, We do hope you N'Joy Dearly Departed.
Lyrics
some aero plane, you can't explain, just watch the flames, so all of the things you cannot change just fade away, some astronaut in atmosphere that's no longer here, well, I guess you got everything that you expected dear.... and it chokes up just to watch you gag, and remember all of the times we had, and it kills me how I let you slip away, part of me fucking died that day, part of me fucking died that day.... some engineer, that grinds the gears, that we all must fear, and it's so unclear why you threw away so many years, and I'd hate to think that they're wasted now, well anyhow.... I'd like to know, hey where'd you go? where are you now? and it chokes me up just to watch you gag, and remember all of the times we had, and it kills me how I let you slip away, well part of me fucking died that day, part of me fucking died that day... and it's so, it's so unfair, it's so, it's so unfair....
