Story behind the song
Otis Hawk wanted to record some music and called on his NJ friend Boogie Mosson, of the famed funk group Parliament Funkadelic/ P-Funk, to work on this structure tha Q had. I was brought in to lay the lead guitar work with Boogie dimming the lights, setting my mind in the place in needed to be (kind of like when George Clinton had Eddie Hazel train his thoughts to get that bad ass Maggot Brain lead, Boogie was looking to set that up. The lead was unscrip INVALID ed and flowed and it was done! Still In Love is a RARE look at Boogoe outside of the structured funk group and shows his talent in the studio. He was a great man of wisdom and talent and is sorely missed as he passed away in 2013 RIP. Bobby Irons was the keyboardist, and Gordy the engineer.
