Rainy Day Beat Poem #1 (just booze and madness)

An experimental piece with added voice samples. I've used the voice of a well known 'Beat Poet' in what I hope is a sympathetic and interesting musical backdrop.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I've been interested in the 'Dust Bowl' and also with the so called, 'Beat' generation of the mid 20th century for a while now. Jack Kerouac's novels, 'One The Road' and 'The Dhama Bums' being just two that I've enjoyed. I've been thinking of putting some of their 'poems' to a sympathetic musical backdrop for quite a while.
Lyrics
Voice samples by CB . . . well if that's not a big clue then you'll have to guess or ask me ! :)

Quite wonderful, Mr. Snagg!! This is right up my alley. Sort of my natural heritage you have touched upon here. This is exceptional work, my friend.
Great swing with the backwards thing. This is my kind of madness.

Quite trippy and psychedelic! The music works perfectly with the poetry - it's like they were written together in a well-planned collaboration. Brilliant stuff and great atmosphere.

Not very knowledgeable about poetry but maybe Allen Ginsberg? Nice intro, very nice guitars and e-bow work. Like the bass work as well. Cool FX - nice track David.
