Elisha Zaporelostzi's first performances were the Open Stages put on by the Bytown Live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. It is how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell started. Phreap magazine is a one page thing that went around Ottawa in the 1980s. Now it is a web site; http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/patchan With the help of Joe-Charly Smith, Molly Ding, Calhoon-Fred Febealie, and Butter Jones I was able to put out Phreap magazine.

Story behind the song

Back in the 1980s I worked on animating Bert Raccoon. As an assistant animator I never did very creative work. I must say that the most creative thing I ever did for the Raccoons was to write this song of my own. Unfortunately very few people ever heard this song back in the 20th century.

This was a rough cassette demo that I did with my guitar and Less Russett on lead guitar c. 1984  where I concentrated on guitar and only did a bit of guide singing. So some 24 years later I added the needed vocal - on January 5, 2008.

But there are Cyril Sneers traps to cut off raccoon tails, plots tragic
Thats when, Bert (Raccoon uses his abilities to) foils Cyril so swift
And that they have never lost a tail is due to Bert Raccoons wonderful gift.
