Story behind the song
Everyone in the world needs validation. @cvofromthemo
Lyrics
Validation, appreciation, I do it for my city and the Fantom Nation / whole team top flight we in migration. On cloud nine, high elevation /
Their hateration's my motivation, no time for that, we don't have the patience / another day, another dollar-- same narration, not talking dividends end the conversation.
***************
Yeah, we just took off like levitation, no cancellation into constellations / looking down on the whole world's population.
My observation is their conversations focus too much on my business administration.
But, we don't throw jabs, move in combination / cause there's never been a we in isolation
And it's still about the process, not the destination. / I'ma get it right now, no procrastination
My concentration's on denominations. It's the key in this world to participation.
Drake spit it right, yeah no new friends / my patience's thin, too many opinions / trying to tell you how to go, where they've never been.
Critics like sheep, they should end the conjecture / I'm 'bout to silence these lambs like Hannibal Lechter!
****************
It's a catastrophe, the game is in atrophy, I don't need a trophy, all I need is philanthropy.
With no apologies to the powers that be / May they R.I.P. to the OMG!
Big, Tupac, and L, they never took home a Grammy, so if the fans understand me, I don't care if they ban me.
No academy nominee, they can keep the endorsement / who died and left these bastards raps law enforcement.
A sordid assortment, has the game in this torment / blood sucking leeches 'til it's still and dormant and hip hop, excrement is all that's left to lament.
It is this I resent, that's why I still represent / maximum, to the fullest, to the 100th percent.
And my only validation's coming straight from the streets and these rappers are sweet, they be retweetin' for beats, / Never worked at Footlocker, I ain't tasted defeat.
****************
I used to worry about how I worry about my fanbase too much / Now, I'd trade a million Youtube hits for a single fan I touched.
Or just one brush with more than one crush / That's late night, just one bust.
And I don't really know if we're on the cusp, I have more than just a few issues with trust.
And angels fear to tread where fools rush, but a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush / This thing is bigger than the both of us.
So, if we can't have love, let's settle for lust / and worry about the rest when we're ash & dust.
Like cremation, since creation, good love gives man validation / stand up! give your boy an ovation.
