Story behind the song
Extreme weather is becoming the norm. We are finally seeing how weather is linked to climate disruptions we are causing as we continue shoving CO2 into the atmosphere. Florida is not an isolated incident but I'd just acquired some new songwriting tools and fiddling around the other evening this song just popped out.

Jet Stream in Florida It was raining.... by the afternoon everything was under water by the next morning it was still raining and cars we had were floating away We are way down in Florida.... but the arctic's melting was here All the way down in Florida... the arctic's jet stream troubles hit here We got 5 or 6 inches dumped in an hour or two... and nearly thirty by the next day Never saw such rain and flooding in my memory as I watched my life float away We're all the way down in Florida and the deniers say it can't happen here.... We're use to storms and hurricanes but the droughts and floods...climate change is here.... It was rainin' and by the next afternoon .... all the topsoil was stripped away plants and fields they were all destroyed as we drill for more oil day after day...
