Story behind the song
I wrote the lyric and sing, Scott did the music and sings
the rules of this contest:
The theme for this contest, will be to write a song detailing a specific day of the week, be it Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
The day you choose must appear in the title, and be notable in the context of the lyrics, either in the verse or chorus, you may also use other days of the week in your song, but be sure the listener knows which is your chosen primary day.
Requirements:
This song requirement will apply to both musician and lyricist, the song form is to have,
Verse - Chorus - Verse - Chorus - Middle 8, or Bridge - Chorus - Chorus - Coda or Outro.
Rhyme scheme:
An abab rhyme for the verses, rhyme line 1 with line 3; also line 2 with line 4.
An xaxa rhyme for the chorus, rhyme lines 2 and 4; make sure that lines 1 and 3 don’t rhyme.
*Near rhymes will be acceptable.
The arrangement of the middle 8, bridge, solo, is entirely up to the musician as to what they may want to come up with. But the music should be fairly easy to distinguish from the arrangement of the verse and chorus music.
The Coda or Outro can be arranged any way you wish, and ad-lib.
Lyrics
Wicked, Wild Wednesday
by Tammy Carlson and Scott Palmer
© 2014
Shedding the stress before I crumble
spend Tuesday getting ready for you
I want you baby, here comes trouble
it's time for our weekly rendezvous
chorus
Wicked you and wicked me, acting out our fantasies
passion building every day, working us up into a frenzy
throwing caution to the wind, as we commit the perfect sin
it's our time to play, it's wicked, wild Wednesday
Seized by passion like Adam and Eve
and eating the apples to the core
you can't blame us for climbing the tree
this rapture's left us wanting more
chorus
Wicked you and wicked me, acting out our fantasies
passion building every day, working us up into a frenzy
throwing caution to the wind, as we commit the perfect sin
it's our time to play, it's wicked, wild Wednesday
Bridge
we're lovers in the afterglow
our passion starts to ebb and flow
still wicked me and wicked you
have more desires to pursue
don't care if it's wrong or what they say
we'll be together next Wednesday
chorus
Wicked you and wicked me, acting out our fantasies
passion building every day, working us up into a frenzy
throwing caution to the wind, as we commit the perfect sin
it's our time to play, it's wicked, wild Wednesday
chorus
Wicked you and wicked me, acting out our fantasies
passion building every day, working us up into a frenzy
throwing caution to the wind, as we commit the perfect sin
it's our time to play, it's wicked, wild Wednesday
Outro
we may have regrets tomorrow
Remorseday is filled with sorrow
but as we push through each day
we'll yearn for wicked, wild Wednesday
