Story behind the song
When I wrote this song back in 2000, we had most of our kids and grandkids living with us as they had just moved into town with new jobs and hadn't got their living quarters squared away yet. One of my little grand daughters came into the garage where I was working on this song. She was only 2 or 3 years old and she could barely see above the short table I was using for writing and recording this song. I looked up and saw her looking across the table at me; she was grinning like a little opossum and she had been listening to the first verse of this song. She asked me in a big smiling face "Do you have money in your pocket Paw-Paw?" How cute she was in that moment, I will never forget. What a blessing children are in our lives!
