A Fan's tribute to a great song by a equally great band. This was a good excuse to feature my 12 string guitar . . .not that I need one ! I played a Yamaha APX-4-12A electro-acoustic into a Line 6 POD and my Rickenbacker bass.
retro guitar based psyche

An 'Invisible Band' project.
This is a Major Snagg / Big Sleep 'side project', to create and record mostly high power psychedelic type of material (covers and originals). . . Full Tilt Psychedelia . Just as XTC briefly became The Dukes of Stratosfear, so have Tony and myself become The Lykes of Wytch . . . but probably only briefly . . . well maybe not !

Story behind the song
A great Bob Dylan song from the mid sixties, made even more famous by The Byrds. It features the wonderful chiming, jangly sound of a 12 string guitar, which always attracted me to the original by The Byrds 'back in the day'. I couldn't quite master the vocal harmonies as on the original. Perhaps you can, when you 'sing along' to it ? ! :)

Is that a Rickenbacker 12 string? This is a very cool version of one of my favs by the Byrds.

Fantastic sound, you've really nailed the production on this one - a real pro studio job! You've captured that jangly sound too. This is like a Byrds/Beatles version....I always pick up a hint of John Lennon when you do retro stuff, I think it's the Northern accent ;) Brilliant stuff.
