Story behind the song
after his band Feelicks broke up.. after he decided to play guitar again a year later... this was the 1st song spaseboy wrote. Written in the upstairs attic of his grandmothers house in crystal,mn where he lived before he moved blindly to Long Beach, CA. -This song is very special, and a personal favorite to spaseboy. Written with a more evolved song writing method and at a very emotional time. His little brother recently died. A couple years prior his grandfather who was close with him died. Spaseboy said: The words were flowing from a place deep inside me that I somehow was finally connected with. I was writing them on a piece of paper and I couldn't write them down fast enough. They were coming to me too fast. It was overwhelming as i normally sat and thought carefully about my lyrics. And the title came directly at the end. It was all very clear. I would estimate somewhere in a 5 minute proximity this was lyrically written. 10- with the music. The music came in the same manner, and happened right before the words. It was like lightning struck me and I had an outlet to release the energy from it."
