Now, every Sunday I swear I'm going to start living right But, I just don't remember it come Saturday Night I know I got the Devil whispering in my ear, but you know I kind of like the things I hear I tell myself "Now for Goodness Sakes" but it don't do no good I got the shakes Me and my girlfriend, out running the bars, just out whooping it up, acting wreckless we come staggering in about 7 am and woke the wife up to make us breakfast Well, it really, really hurt my head to hear her holler so and when I carried my baby out, her face was white as snow and I know I've done pushed it too far, again, here we go I got the shakes I said I was going to party like a rock star and now I can't remember where I put my car Who was I with, and what did I do? and how did I get this new tattoo? All I remember is waking up on some old woman's lawn, and her beating me with a broom, and oh the fun never stops now she's called the cops and off to the pokey I go I guess I'll never learn from my mistakes I guess it's humble pie I'll have to bake so I decided to medicate I got the shakes
