Shawn "Proctor804" Proctor is a Producer and Audio Engineer with 10 years experience in multiple genres.
At age 16, Proctor (formerly known as Agz) began recording at Da Spot Recording Studio and self producing his first album. Knowing his life wouldn't be fulfilling without music, he attended The Recording Workshop in Ohio where he earned a certification as a music engineer. Proctor returned to Richmond to begin working at Da Spot; honing his rap and production styles. Working with a variety of artists and genres has helped Proctor create a diverse production style; blending different approaches to provide a unique, ear-catching, sound that both artist and fans have enjoyed for the past 10 years. Story behind the song
Terms and Policies for Beat Purchase and Use For the use of this agreement: The composer and creator of the Backing Music will be known as the Beatmaker, The Backing Music will be known as the Beat, the purchaser of the Beat will be called the Label, the creator and/or performer of the lyrics will be called the Artist, and the person giving input and guiding the recording/mixing process will be known as the Producer. * The tagged Beat is not for reproduction in any form. Its sole purpose is to give an example of the sound and allow the Artist to write his/her lyrics. *Upon full payment of the Beat, an untagged 2-track will be sent along with a split-sheet. After the Beatmaker has received a signed copy of the split sheet, a Multi-track version of the beat will be sent to the Artist/ Label. *After payment for the Beat is made, there is unrestricted use of the Beat. This includes placements on Albums/mixtapes, radio, TV/Movies, live shows, etc. The Beatmaker will be informed of any placements the Artist or the Label receives. The Beatmaker will be given proper credits on any placement. * full production services are available. This means making the Beat, recording the Artist, and arranging/mixing the final song. * If Full production services are requested, The Beatmaker takes on the role of Producer and helps to guide the song to its final sound. *This Includes: * Coordinating sessions, for the Artist and acting as liaison between the Artist and recording studio * Give advice during recording process to help the song concept reach its full potential * Arrange the Beat to fully match the feel and sound of song concept. * Mix arranged song to Industry standards * Because of this input throughought the production process, The Producer will receive a recording royalty that is competitive with Industry standards at the time of Production. * Artist/Label is respoinsible for all studio and engineer fees.
