Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. This is our Decaying Orbit & we do hope that you will N'Joy tha' show!!!!

Story behind the song
"Don't Let Me Burn...." - Mike Ash. The original version of this tune was featured on the album, "Ifurin" circa 2011. Aloka remixed it a couple of years later and it has been hiding in my playlist unheard for quite some time now, so I figured I should feature it on the new Collaborative-Collective album, "The Destruction Of Something Beautiful"(2017). This song is one of my all-time FAVORITES that I have EVER recorded and I really LOVE Aloka's remix of it. She captured the emotional essences in this song and distilled them into moonshine. Now we libate with these nectars and grow ever more intoxicated & inebriated by the singing of the spheres in our minds. This song is about a Vampire that has been ultimately betrayed by his Vampire lover and left out in the sun to burn. It is a tragic and twisted tale of Love, betrayal & the death of an immortal at the hands of his beloved. It is a concept song by nature and it tells a grizzly tale to say the least. The song harbors his anger, sadness, desperation, grief, loss, despair, anguish, Love & it even chronicles his untimely and brutal demise. MAD PROPS GO OUT TO ALOKA FOR THIS AWESOME MIX!!!!!
Lyrics
Sleeping restless, wrathfull forgiveness Vampire celtic heretic, hung and burned then beat to sh** Light sensitive and impaled on a lunatic Libation, sensations, the reason we count the teeth But nothing’s the same, nothing remains Electro magnetic endorphines Insanely rattling like dead leaves, fallen from dead trees Some cosmic hematology… I buried you in the bogs and held you down with f*** ing logs For a hundred million years, all the hungry ghosts are eating fear Kill yourself inside your head, if you think you’re already dead Color spectrum magnesium, peripheral indegestion Don’t let me burn… F*** all suggestions, I’ll die of consumption, just for the f*** of it Paranormal feeders stuck into my head Making what I’m taking – voltage I have bled Poppers grave, coffin locked and thrown away Can you forget me? Have I been missed? Because you cannot miss what you forget… So will you forget me? Don’t let me burn… Lyrics By: Mike Ash (C)Decaying Enterprises 2017
