Story behind the song
Inspired by a Jewish Doctor who stayed with his Orphans and kept the nightmare away from them as best he could.
Lyrics
Left hand says to the right Good night my friend goodnight Right Hand Chimes back in Time to sleep again. Left hand tells the head Time to go to bed. Right hand joins the dream Dream sweet baby Dream. Hush little baby dont say a word Papas going to buy you a mocking bird If that mocking bird dont sing Papa gonig to buy you a diamond ring. Now he flies through the air with the greatest of ease Hes the flying yonug man Up on the lfying trapeze. And he lives in a house That comes with a king and a queen And all that he needs Dream sweet baby dream The bear went over the mountain To see what he could see And all that he could see Was the other side of the mountain.

So highly emotional, as heavy a subject as there is is, a brave tribute, extremely well done.

Hi Roger, Well a very subtle approach lyrically to the subject. You have left alot to the listener and certainly title keeps the theme in front of you. You certainly have a wide range of topical interests and I also like that the music was subtle as well. Blends well with the lyric and the subject matter. Nice work

Hey Roger, I can hear the emotion come through on this #1 chart topper. Your guitar gliding through with gentle authority on the notes. And yes! lyrical at it's finest. JD

Hello Roger! Thanks for comment! I hope you had a great Easter, its a little bit late, but at Easter we can reach our spiritual awakening. And that is important. This song is again for a deep amuse about life. Interesting guitar and voice. All the best! Michal

No matter what the subject, you always have a way of coming at things from a different angle. In a way this reminds me a lot of old nursery rhymes....they appear like a straight forward song on the surface, but hide a darker story.

Vocalized as it was - in hiding for fear of their lives. Well done Roger - very expressive.

Really interesting my friend, great lyrics and music. Melodic guitar ( still in the Roger style of course ), I agree with Pinedog´s comment: a lot of interpretation for the listener. Well done!

A definite contrast that fully compliments the former rich offering and yet is none the less masterful in it's own right, RJ....an engrossing tribute, musically and lyrically with tradition mixed within!!!! A lovely piece of work!!!!!! Thanks my friend, Wade
