Story behind the song
Another Iphone music creation. Basic 8 bar loop created in IMaschine (4.99 App for those who are curious) great Beat maker/ Sampler, basically capable of running up to four 16 sample drum machines simultaneously plus some other crazy features to extensive to get into here. I then imported the loop into Garageband (Also a 4.99 app) and that's where it gets even more fun. Got the loop rolling and recorded a synth bass line and 2 other synth parts triggered from my Roland Gr-1 guitar synth. Thats right, thanks to a nifty device called Irig Midi that plugs into the Iphone, I can now play Garagebands synthesizers with my GUITAR instead of having to tap it in on the screen. Don't get me wrong there is some things that I actually prefer to tap in on the screen (Drums for example). Not to mention A pair of headphones and the Iphone running Garageband and you are writing music in the line at the DMV. Lastly A guitar solo Played on my Stratocaster, plugged into the iphone using My Peavey Amplink kit. All Guitar Processing done with Garage band using the 70's Marshall amp, A compressor, Fuzz( Pretty much sounds like an old Big Muff Fuzz), and 2 Delay pedals, one short multiple repeats and one long single repeat. Once again I can't believe the music making power of the Iphone running a few great apps has.
