Vinyl Chord Productions is a songwriting/production company that was founded by Art Darien (Songwriter/Producer/Engineer) in 2007. Credits include TV/Film Place
Vinyl Chord Productions was founded by singer/songwriter/producer Art Darien in June 2007. At an early age, Art began his journey with music . He began singing and learning to play the piano at the age of 4. At the age of 12 he began to play the guitar. He sites Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, DJ Quik,Tupac, Tony Tone Toni, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prince all as being some of his earliest musical inspirations. Kanye West would very soon be added to that list after West’s debut album release of “The College Dropout”. At the age of 17, Art began to look into the business of music and started to write and produce his own music. After hearing Raphael Saadiq’s “All The Hits at the House of Blues” live album and seeing Raphael perform live in 2005, he was convinced that music was what he wanted to do. Finishing in the semifinals in The 2008 UK Songwriting Contest, he was driven even more to have music as a career. In 2010 he saw his track used on TV for first time on style Network’s “How Do I Look”. Since then, as a producer and songwriter, Art has seen his music placed within the TV/Film industry on shows that include, “Access Hollywood”, “Bad Girls Club 6?, ”Mob Wives”, “How Do I Look”, and MTV’s ” ‘I Used to Be Fat’ and ’10 On Top’”. As an artist and performer, he writes and produces his own projects and has performed at a variety of venues. This included performing as one of the opening acts for the legendary band “War” at B.B. Kings in Los Angeles, CA. Today as an artist he sites, Michael Jackson, Prince, Kanye, Stevie Wonder, Drake, and Raphael Saadiq as his main influences. Focused and determined, Art looks to be a major force in music and entertainment for many years to come.
