Story behind the song
I saw a blond driving a light blue Mustang in C'D'A', Idaho in 1974, & the rest is pure concoction. I never even got anywhere near her, let alone killed her brother.....
Lyrics
I saw her in the light blue mustang car, I told her I never seen her before, But I bought her a couple of drinks at the bar, She told me that she wanted more, I took her out back, & put my hand to her yar, She knocked me right down on the floor, She told me that she had three brothers, not far, And that I'd better not do like before! But I loved her, 'Cause she kept me thrilled, Yes, I loved her, With all my heart & my head, And she loved me, But she about had me killed, Yes, she loved me, But she wanted me dead! When I first set eyes & my foot in this town, I knew I had to find me one, Then you picked me up, we went ridin' around, I felt she wanted more than fun, Her brother came runnin' & 'bout knocked me down, But he was dead 'fore I was done, (Kung fu!) I called on my brothers to help hold my ground, Yeah, them two fought us under the sun! But I loved her....(etc....) Well, baby you sure have been good to me, But I think it's time for a break, With this kind of messin' around I can see, That to stay here would be a mistake, If you want, you can come 'long with me, And we'll see how long it will take, To get it together & just let it be, Yeah, think of the love that we'll make! And I loved her.....(etc....)
