it's friday evening and the whiskey's flowing free ghosts are moving though i can barely see out of the corner of my eye what do i find? it's there, but i guess i'm doing fine the summer's ending and soon it will be gone but i am haunted and i know it won't be long 'til i pour another glass to forget the past oh yeah, i can't make it last the bottle's empty but, yeah, that's all right 'cause i've got another to get through the night and the spirit will live on though i may be gone i know the whiskey flows, it flows on to the dawn
