Story behind the song
Dan and I got the idea for writing this song soon after he got his first computer. He would call and ask how to do something and I will tell him to click on it. He would respond with right click or left click. When he finally got the hang of the computer he told me right click, left click, double click I go. I told him that there was a song in that. We worked on it for a few years, but never quite had it right. Then one morning, I woke up, walked straight to the guitar and the rest of the words just rolled out.
Lyrics
Roy Rogers was the best cowbory The world has ever seen He had a cool horse Trigger And to be like Roy I dreamed. Times have changed since the good old days The car replaced the horse They fenced off the open range and built a mall of stores Well you have to change with the times adapt your childhood dreams I know that I really tried and I hope Roy would be please Right click, left click double click I go with my cool mouse clicker it's the world wide web I roam. I'm a high tech Cyber Cowboy my range is cyber space I refuse to be fenced in I roam from page to page I got a fence called for wall she keeps out the Trojan horse downloaded a pop up blocker and a filter for spam of course Right click, left click double click I go with my cool mouse clicker it's the world wide web I roam. Well I'd rather be a ridin those happy trails with Roy, Dale, and Pat that to be stuck here in this crazy, crazy, sick modern world I'm a livin at.
