Story behind the song
another song that started with a riff that came to me while i was jamming away while at the computer. the second riff/main riff was an idea that was taken straight out of a scale the summit tab book (the pattern is adapted from the tapping phrase over the closing chord of the levitated, a track off the collective), and used as a main theme instead of closing riff (a common practice in my music, i realize), and modified the underlying chord structure to a descending minor pentatonic progression. then i wrote an angry part as a closing riff, that to me always sounds like a riff from a nirvana song (heart-shaped box, i think) (e- to e/c- to a5) and threw a modified distorted version of the earlier tapped theme over top, before returning to the original tapped theme, distorted this time, before the recapitulation of the first riff, a quiet retrospective.
