A down tempo electronic track, done largely using the great Roland SPD-20 drum pad unit. I then added guitar and finally the vocals, which are a bit faint in the mix.
electronic techno trance

I am a musical journeyman, and have been recording (on and off) in a home studio, since about 1988. I experiment with different forms, methods, and styles,
I began to recording on a cassette 4-track (Tascam Porta-One) in 1988, and enjoying the whole process of recording sounds, I then purchased an Atari ST, running Cubase Vs1. I moved on to a digital 8-track in about 1998 (Roland VS-880) and then to a more modern mac setup, which I'm using now. I am a visual artist, as well as a musical experimenter, an dI believe this does inform the way I work.

Story behind the song
I have been experimenting with human human, as opposed to programmed drum beats. I began experimenting with a soft synth AU plugin synth called "Alchemy" and found it very inspiring. The lyrics usually come from my old notebooks, some are over ten years old!
Lyrics
Have you ever seen a face, that's brighter than the sun, Have you ever seen an eye, then turned around and run? Have you ever seen your shadow, that's kept you on the run? It was in Melbourne town, (Australia) A place of joy and happiness, not a single tear in sight, Little did I know, that the time's were creeping right! I don't want to die on a poisoned planet, I don't want to die in a third world war, I don't want to see the children, shoved out through destructions door. Have you ever seen an eye, that's kept you on the run, The eye of the Illuminati! (Repeated)
