Sort of a blues.
folk surreal satire
I've always considered myself folk, but I play an electric guitar, so you figure it out. I'm just a guy with some cheesy equipment. Sheet music really helps me
I'm just an old man recording in a basement. The band is an AdrenaLinn effects and drum machine, some amps and some guitars

Story behind the song
I really liked this song for a while, but I was really sensitive to any criticism, and someone didn't like me "humping my guitar like a whore." I meant the line to mean desperation and lonliness. Oh well.
Lyrics
When I play my guitar Some times the cord winds up on the floor When I play my guitar The cord winds up on the floor. Oh Lord I am so tired I don’t want to be tangled up no more Oh I will play the G chord ‘Til the C - C chord it comes. Oh I will play the G chord, Beat C. C. Ryder dumb I can’t hit E-flat, But I’ll play those D chords Until the morning comes. Some time I’d like to play Let the chords fall where they may Sometime I’d like to play Let the chords fall where they may Like a slowly rolling river cutting through a bank of clay. Ah, but you send the blues Right, right, right through my door You send the blues Right, right through my door. That’s when I pick up my guitar and I hump it like a whore. Then I go spinning, And the chords wind up on the floor I turn around and around And the cords wind up on the floor. Oh lord I am so tired I don’t want Top be tangled up no more.
