I wrote this song to remind people that members of our military are real individuals. Their lives touch other lives. When one of our service men or women lose their life in the line of duty, it has an impact on many other lives. This song could have easily been written about members of law enforcement, fire and rescue, and others who put their own lives at risk to help their friends, neighbors, family, and country.
