The only way I know to say "Thanks"
Simple songs that I hope will touch the heart of God, and maybe a few other people in the process.
I may never make it to Nashville, and I may never be on the radio, but that's okay. That's not why I do what I do. I do what I do because I understand things best when I get them down in rhyming lines set to music. I do what I do because I believe that my Heavenly Father enjoys the songs that few hear just as much as He enjoys the songs that everyone hears. I do what I do because it's one of the best ways I know how to worship God, encourage friends, and uplift the body of Christ.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song the spring before I graduated from high school as a "gift" to the people who made a real difference in my life along the way--especially my youth ministers, teachers and "family in Christ." The lessons I've learned from them (and continue to learn still) will stand me in good stead for the rest of my life.
Lyrics
Simple thanks cannot express My gratitude To you who have watched over me Simple words are not enough To tell of truth And grace your love has shown to me So I am forever indebted to you For the time you have poured into me And I cannot pay back what you should be due But keep watch over my destiny Who I will be Chorus: Earth-bound angels, sing your songs Of all the passion and joy we have shared Earth-bound angels, whisper peace Over this life that will leave here prepared To live in trust and hope, to live in faith and truth And to be an earth-bound angel like you Soon enough I’ll say goodbye To all I know And I will seek His providence Soon enough I’ll bid farewell And I may go Even to the earth’s very ends But I will forever remember you all When I can’t find my way through the dark You taught me His mercy is there when I call And He’ll cradle me close to His heart Near where you are Chorus Bridge: Spread your wings and carry me To the King on your knees As you have always done Chorus
