through my sunroof I see a clear blue sky
the tears on my makeup are leaving streaks down my cheeks
as I drive past the city limit sign

I can't say I'm not afraid ......of steering toward the future
when there's no way of knowing what I'm gonna find
but I'd rather face the fear ....of uncertain destinations
than be safe in the arms of a lie
the pains gonna come and I know I"ll have to face it
but if I can breathe... if I can pray.... then I think I just might make it
