Story behind the song

Song is a re-work of an old musical idea.  Clean guitars and lots of open strings. Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has a huge influence on my (mediocre in comparison!) playing.  The open B & E on most of the chords is pure Alex.  I suppose I should stop now! lol ....Ken

This had been a piece of music that Ken had been playing for a long time but we could never quite get it to sound the way we wanted.  We knew it had potential but it was quite literally beaten to death until we were happy. 

It was resurrected when Callisto was formed and we got lucky one afternoon we just decided to jam it and see were it went and we came up with this. I lost count how many times I wrote lyrics for this but our determination paid off I hope.

The lyrics are basically describing a relationship breakup. All names and places are confidential.....lol....leave me something to myself will you...lol...Jim
