A vocal track that anyone can finish producing, alter in any way, & sell. Extremely sad love song
I've been creating all kinds of songs for over 30 years, but I never sell any of them. I try to give them away to charities that have musician spokespeople, but
Story behind the song
When I heard Phil Collins singing Against All Odds, I decided to try to come up with an even sadder song, & I think that I did. About the day that I realized that I had to leave my High School Sweetheart the next day.
Lyrics
I know, Just what it is I have to do,
Tomorrow's, Comin' way too soon,
How can I ever get through today,
Knowin', I've got to away.
The day before,
A man must do what a man must do,
The day before I drag myself away from you,
How can I ever get through the sorrow,
Of the day before tomorrow?
I loved you more than I know I should,
We both knew that it could never turn out good,
We kept each other blind,
We didn't want to find,
The truth, About what lay in store.
The day before,
A man must do what a man must do,
The day before I drag myself away from you,
How can I ever get through the sorrow,
Of the day before tomorrow?
You know, That we just can't go on like this,
They warned us, & yet we took an awful risk,
How can I make you see it's true,
Darlin', The devil got his due.
The day before,
A man must do what a man must do,
The day before I drag myself away from you,
How can I ever get through the sorrow,
Of the day before tomorrow?
You long to be somebody's wife,
You know that you could never live my life,
We hurt on each good-bye,
But now we've got to try,
To live, Apart forevermore.
The day before,
A man must do what a man must do,
The day before I drag myself away from you,
How can I ever get through the sorrow,
Of the day before tomorrow?
The day before, The hardest thing I've ever done.
The day before, The saddest song I've ever sung,
The day before, I know I must have caused you pain,
The day before, You never did let me explain.
The day before........
The day before.........
