Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia singer-songwriter. In her fourth decade of making music, Heidi is taking a slightly softer approach... but her music remains vocally interesting and the lyrics are definitely worth checking out. If you like Patti Smith, you will probably like Heidi. Have fun and thanks for listening.

Story behind the song
This is my third song, and although it sounds much like the first two, I think I am finally coming into my style here. When I wrote these first three songs I was 17 and heart-sick, trying to recoup form my first love. It wasn't easy.
Lyrics
TIMES ALONE (1976) Am D Am D G C G C Am C G Times alone are filled With thoughts not out of reach Crazy passion out of hand I picture you on summer sands Emperor beauty of the beach Streams of thought Pass through your eyes I know it's there in your mind Somewhere, though maybe blind Unconsciously they rise C D C G C D Am G So you never left behind The magic, wondrous dream Thoughts appear and reappear Of times alone Serene You've left your gifted mark in me Shows in all I do Worlds of strength you left for me Even more than I can see I feel them as I feel you So you never left behind The magic, wondrous dream Thoughts appear and reappear Of times alone Serene Days go by and give me time To place a misplaced song Dreams to soft melodies I feel your hand within a breeze It hasn't been so long
