I had thought this to be an original by our band, the Crown City Trio, for a very long time. I only recently found out it was a Cruddup classic some time after recording my own interpretation. This is an extreme makeover of our Crown City version, which I always thought too tame. Both interpretations are a drastic departure from Cruddup's, Elvis's, and Creedence's versions. Hope you enjoy.
