everyday hero tim brown sweet cheetah the difference
Right now Everyday Hero is just a guy, a guitar, an amp, a synth, and some computer equipment.
This is just a page to put up the stuff I write and have written and see what people thought of it. Maybe it'll turn into something more serious, or maybe it'll just be some ideas I toss around for bit.

Story behind the song
This was the first tune I ever wrote start to finish, lyrics and all. It was 1989 and I was 19. One night after work, I was walking back into my grandmother's house where I lived at the time in her basement. I had broken up with my second girlfriend a few months earlier and being a typical teen boy, I was depressed. (Oh the melodrama!!) I looked up at the rather gloomy sky that night and the two lines in the second verse (I looked through the gloom and despair...) came to mind along with a guitar riff that became the chorus. The rest of the song flowed from that and I showed it to the guys I was in a band with at the time. The infamous Sweet Cheetah. This version doesn't have vocals (or much of anything besides guitar tracks right now) but that'll change when I get my hands on a decent mic. I've decided to revamp the tune. Folks who remember the original will notice that the verses are now twice as long as before. That's mainly so when the vocals do get added, they don't feel as rushed as the original did. I also, finally, added the wah-wah pedal that Eric and I thought was so frickin' cool about a thousand years ago. However, from listening to this track, I have to admit I need to go back and practice my wah-wah technique a bit more!
Lyrics
Now that we're through my life ain't been the same Our love to you, girl, was just some silly game You loved me, then left me, took my heart from me And as I stand here in the rain it's you I want to see On these... (Chorus) Cold and lonely nights Dreamin' of the time when I held you baby Cold and lonely nights Dreamin' of the time I can hold you again When we first met I knew it was the end Of my desperate searchin' nights lookin' for a friend I looked through the gloom and despair of the night I saw your eyes and I knew that we'd be right On these (Chorus) I'd have stayed with you For eternity But I know who you love And it isn't me (Guitar solo) (Chorus) I gave you my hand, I gave you my heart I was willin' to risk it all right from the start But you didn't seem to feel the way that I did So now I'm all alone and I'm feelin' like a kid On these... (Chorus)
