Daylight it seems…to come and go so fast this time of year
The night is long and cold and when the morning breaks nobody’s near
Another day is gone….and nighttime comes along…

The highway is long and after while the towns all look the same
The leaves they change again not unlike the faces and the names
On the highway leavin’ town…and I watch the sun go down…

Well my heart is on the road
The world’s a stage and I know just what my part is
A different day but playing the same ole role
Like the river I must flow…only looking for what’s just around the bend
Always on my own…peace and solitude my only friends
