Lyrics
Take away the promise of the future And we're left without a hope I think it's safe to say we're almost bored to death With fun and games and dope We're living today We're living today The preacher stopped me yesterday he said Boy you're living pretty fast Now how could I explain to him that I Don't want to lose the game last There must be something Something that we can know There must be something Something that we can know Something that we can know We're living today We're living today You need to be somebody when you find out There's nothing else to be The truth is an illusion said the girl Who took the apple from the tree We're living today We're living today But what the hell's it matter if you do What all the people say you should I'm just a social animal I guess The people know what's really good There must be something Something that we can know There must be something Something that we can know Something that we can know We're living today We're living today But take away the past and you ain't nothing But an animal in heat At least the gods have left us standing Tall upon our own two feet There must be something Something that we can know There must be something Something that we can know Something that we can know We're living today We're living today Words and Music (c) 1980, 2003 by Jack E.
