Story behind the song
The song "At dawn / Svitankova" was created in memory of my father. This is an uncommon and happy event, when music and basis of words come at the same time. I was not going to write this song. Just before the trip to the country I decided to take a guitar. But suddenly the fine melody and base of words come to me. When I wrote the words of the first verse on paper and tried to sing it, I did not work out. I just burst into tears from my memories of the past, when I was child and everybody loved me. The same fate befell other verses. This song still gives me tears, but I played it a hundred times. Approximately half of the people listening to this song had the same reaction as me: they were crying, remembering their loved ones, their unique beautiful childhood. They nostalgia about the wonderful originality, but at the same time, transience and perishability of our lives. To understand what I felt, just try to tune in the memories and listen "At dawn". I am sure that melodious Ukrainian language will you fully understand and it gives you senses of mystery.

"At dawn / Svitankova" How we loved to walk with my grandfather on the path behind the village. Spring flowers gave happiness and inspiration to us both. And we were happy, holding hands. We enjoyed by sun, sky and gardens, And it seemed to us: nature will always give us Refrain: Dawn abundant dew on our tired legs, Thick groves and quiet pond and taste of raspberry on the lips. Eyes shone. Hearts loved and embraced the whole world. I again want to feel this happiness through many long years! How we loved to sit with my father in the morning garden And the bees hum gave confidence: everything will in order. And our dreams were flying high toward the sun and stars. And we thought, that I and my father will not part never! Because Refrain. How we loved to walk through the autumn forest with my little son. Yellow leaves fell on our heads like in dream, Blue sky between tree crowns bestowed us mushroom glade. Why time is running out so fast, so relentlessly and so tirelessly! Refrain.
