Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
I recorded the backing track at Alma Vale Studio in December 1991 with the help of Andy Francis. I left the desk set up for Andy Gregory to listen to the music when he came to the studio the following morning. He added the lead guitar and all we needed was a name for the tune. Then my Mum died just before Christmas and Andy suggested that we dedicate the tune to her. So 'Jocelyn' it was. R.I.P. xxx Incidentally the Rickenbacker guitar I play belonged to the Blue Aeroplanes, who were using our studio for rehearsals. I couldn't resist picking it up and plugging it in... *sorry guys*
