This is the system we live in. The world. It's everywhere The reason the mixing is kinda weird is to add to the song concept of alienation from a faceless institution.

Story behind the song
The first verse is a direct slam to Christian churches (especially the Catholic Church), and a lot of 'Christians' in my life who have been nothing but venomous snakes. The whole idea of the Christian religion is, in my opinion, a very gunpoint situation. "Believe in this or burn in hell", doesn't sound like a loving God to me. Also, the fact that God is so loving yet hates gays (which I will explore in another song). The second verse again bit at Christianity, and also was riddled with allusions to George Orwell's classic novel "1984", which shows the consequences of government interference in our lives, which is what I feel goes on in these churches. If you disagree with them, you're wrong. Why are you wrong? Because the bible says so. And according to them, the bible is right. Again, I may explore this further in later songs..
