I wanna tell you about a story I have/
Its about leavin Newfoundland and movin to a newer land/
Who knew that I would land on the West Coast/
I miss the east coz to me thats the best Coast/
Just no comparison so let me compare em both/
Parrellelin them isnt fair and so, here we go/
When ya from the rock, Ya got pride and show it/
But here you prolly got a nice ride and know it/
On the island, we all livin off of the water/
Coz nothing beats the breeze comin off the harbor/
Harm her? I doubt it, coz we are gonna guard her man/
Here? you are prolly rockin a farmers tan/
Comprehend the differences might take a minute/
This isnt a diss this is just what the difference is/
Newfies took the front lines and died so honorably/
Alberta is thrivin and drivin the economy/
That tells a story but what we need now is/
To prove the pronounciation is decals/
Stay where your to, Ill come where your at/
Cant avoid the accent it always comes back/
The sh** they says is not what I use/
Here bog is muskeg, Coyotes are coyotes/
Sneakers are Runners, Movies are shows/
Bulldozers are Cats, Excavators are Hoes/
Its not a big issue, Just the way that we talk/
I love Alberta but I cherish the Rock/
Yea we have skeets and the fishplant wreaks/
But here you can drive straight for 6 to 7 weeks/
At-lantic Cod, Al-berta beef/
We have a rough exterior but perfect underneath/
I left for money and stayed for my girl/
We in the same country but 2 different worlds//
