Story behind the song
[Kate's the one on the left] Luke was bored in maths, so he decided he wanted to bulk up on Endorphin's [at the time] original music. He was greatly under the influence of local all-girl rock band "My Silence" at the time, due to an infactuation with bass guitarist Kate Smith, so he decided he wanted to impress her with a song to swoon her with. This song contains loud passion, with the tortured vocals of Luke wailing the phrases "In dementia" and "My silence" over and over. The phrase "I'm living in dementia" is a self-analysis. He also thought it a joke to include grunge band "Screaming Trees" in the lyrics for no good reason.
Lyrics
I'm living in dementia Breathing without air Screaming trees cant help me Break my silence easily Because I'm trapped in a twisted maze, yeah In dementia [x3] Elegant to look at Erupting into hate Everything I wanna be Stood up in front of me Why the hell wont you help me break it My silence [x3] [solo] I'm living in dementia Breathing without air Screaming trees cant help me Break my silence easily I would like to get out of this phase, yeah In dementia [x3]
